# Help Kickstart the Kyoto Tech Meetup: Morning Coffee Edition

Kyoto Tech Meetup launches weekly morning coffee sessions. Connect with local software and hardware builders, share projects, and help select our first cafe.

I’m excited to announce the [**Kyoto Tech Meetup**](https://www.meetup.com/kyoto-tech-meetup/?ref=ashryan.io): a weekly, early-morning coffee hang for anyone building software or hardware in Kyoto.

**Why mornings?** Over years of co-organizing Founders Friday and Astoria Tech Meetup in NYC, I’ve found that a predictable slot on the calendar makes it easy to drop by without a major commitment, share progress and learnings, and trade ideas before the workday begins.

## What I’m envisioning

We’ll keep it simple:

- **One-hour coffee session** on a weekday morning.
- **Come-and-go format**. No hard start or stop time.
- **No agenda**. No talks, no presentations.
- **Japanese and English welcome**. Other languages welcome too, I just can’t speak them!

The goal: **meet new people** and **carry a spark of inspiration** into the rest of your day.

## Help me choose the best café and time

In my experience, cafes that open early can be hard to find in Kyoto. **So I’m open to suggestions.**
